It is used to restrict flow, reducing flow and pressure from the upstream side to the downstream side, and regulates flow for application of liquid fertilizer and soil fumigants. Flow regulators are usually mounted behind cultivator shanks for subsurface application. Always insert the orifice plate with the side marked with the number facing the outlet.
